Thank you for visiting the City of Industry web site. If you are here because you are looking for a location for your business, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find more than 2,500 other businesses have already made our City their home.

Of course, there are many reasons the City of Industry works for business. This City, which recently celebrated its 53rd anniversary of incorporation, serves as the economic hub for a region encompassing the San Gabriel Valley and beyond.

Our City forefathers had tremendous insight in creating an industrial base as a workplace for the San Gabriel Valley work force. The growth of the San Gabriel Valley helped make the City’s development possible, as did the completion of a complex network of freeways and rail lines. Our proximity to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach just made it even more attractive to business and industry.

The continuing construction of the Alameda Corridor East, which will move thousands of freight containers annually to and from our City to destinations throughout the United States, will make this location even more desirable for warehousing and distribution companies.

We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished. But the fact that the formula is working is best told by the numbers – we typically have a vacancy rate of less than 5 percent.

The City of Industry has a population of less than 1,000 residents. But each day we serve a work force of some 65,000, many coming in each day to work from our neighboring communities.

Because of this, we feel a sense of responsibility to our neighbors and for that reason we have made our community, educational and charity-related activities a priority – going beyond our own borders and into the surrounding communities that provide that work force for our City.

We are proud of the professional staff we have in City Hall – and we hear on an almost daily basis how pleased existing and new business owners are with their dealings with them. Our staff knows that you’ve got a business to run. Their job is to provide you the municipal services you need to do your job.

Yes, after 50 years, the system is working, and it is working very well. We take great pride in maintaining clean streets with plenty of greenery – all to make a visit to the City a pleasant experience.
