Department Description

The Development Services Department is tasked with: coordinating multiple City divisions so that they work in concert to streamline public and private projects; ensure public safety; coordinate with multiple outside agencies to ensure effective action and regulation; and working strategically to implement the City's General Plan and Capital Improvement Plan.

The Development Services Department is responsible for:

• Asset and Property Management;
• Code Enforcement;
• Development Review and Approvals;
• Engineering;
• Environmental Programs;
• Field Operations and Maintenance;
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/Maps
• Habitat and Open Space Areas;
• Planning;
• Public Safety, and
• Utility Coordination.
