Grading Permit:

Required for any private development plan or the change of line and grade on private property. Decisions on Grading Permits are based on a grading plan which must be completed by a civil engineer and reviewed by the City Engineer. Grading Permits require an inspector to verify that all new structures, backfills, sidewalk replacement and other improvements have been properly constructed and installed in accordance with City Standards.  All Grading permits require the appropriate contractor’s license and insurance which must be obtained prior to permit issuance.

See the City of Industry Drainage Plan Check List for general notes and standard plans required for grading plans. The City of Industry is not on the County of Los Angeles Benchmark datum (NAVD-88). The City of Industry is on NAVD-29. Please contact the City of Industry survey department for benchmark information.
